Festive Chocolate Biscuits

Forget store-bought shortbreads and cookies this festive season! Try these Festive Chocolate Biscuits instead! Not only are they delicious and appetizing, but they are also fun to make. You will only need a little creativity to make different shapes and sizes and make this recipe your own!

Festive Chocolate Biscuits

Total time: 30-40 min

Servings: 35-40 pieces

INGREDIENTS
 

 
· 250g flour
 
· 100g ground walnut
 
· 150g sugar
 
· 120g butter
 
· 2 eggs
 
· 2 tbsp cocoa powder
 
· 1 tsp vanilla extract
 
· 1 tsp orange zest
 
· pinch of salt
 

· 100g white/milk chocolate for dipping

DIRECTIONS
 

 
1. Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4.
 

 
2. In a large bowl cream together the butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until nice and fluffy.
 

 
3. Combine the eggs into the butter mixture one by one, then add the orange zest, flour, ground walnut, and cocoa powder.
 

 
4. Spoon the biscuit mixture into a piping bag with a large star-shaped nozzle, and start piping different biscuit shapes onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
 

 
5. Pop the baking tray in the oven for about 12 - 15 min. Once ready, transfer the biscuits onto a cooling rack.
 

 
6. While the biscuits are cooling, melt the white chocolate over steam or in the microwave, and dip one end of each biscuit into it. Place them back onto the baking tray until the chocolate to sets.
 

 
7.The chocolate biscuits can be stored in an airtight container.

Tip: If your piping bag seems too thin, you can always double it up 🍪

Tip: Add festive sprinkles before the chocolate coating sets - they will make pretty little gifts for your friends and family 🎄
